Who the rule covers

47 CFR 15.19 covers "a device subject to certification, or Supplier's Declaration of Conformity," and applies "In addition to the requirements in part 2 of this chapter."

Receivers for licensed services

For "Receivers associated with the operation of a licensed radio service," the statement is "This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the condition that this device does not cause harmful interference."

Cable selector switches

For "A stand-alone cable input selector switch," it is "This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules for use with cable television service."

All other devices

For "All other devices," it is the two condition statement. The maker's label and manual say which statement a given keypad carries.

What the statements are not

An FCC statement on a device is not a statement about its security.

FAQ

We do not say any product is FCC approved or FCC certified. Read the label statement as 47 CFR 15.19 sets it out.
The maker's label says. We do not say which applies to a given device.

General information only. No keypad, lock, or code can guarantee that a door will stay secure or that a break-in will not happen. Keep codes private, change any code you have shared, and follow the maker's instructions. Before you put a keypad or lock on a door people use to leave a building, check with your local building or fire official. In an emergency, call 911.
